Only users hold the rights to their creations (lyrics, composition and performance video) made in the Musicland AI workshops.
1. Rights belong to the creators
The lyrics, composition and performance video you make in the Musicland AI workshops are your creations. You are their sole rights holder.
In its role as technical producer/publisher of the platform, Playback Production waives all rights over the creations published by users. Playback Production claims no ownership of copyright in your lyrics, your music or your video: those rights remain yours.
To allow your work to be distributed on the Musicland streaming platform, you grant Playback Production a technical, non-exclusive licence strictly necessary to host, display and stream your content. ◆ Exact scope of the licence to be defined and validated by a lawyer.
2. Playback Production's role
Playback Production acts as technical producer/publisher of the Musicland AI app and its streaming platform: providing the AI-assisted creation tools, hosting content and operating the virtual stage.
- Playback Production claims no ownership of users' creations.
- The AI-assist features are tools at the user's service; the final creation is the user's.
- Editorial responsibility for published content lies with users, within the limits set out in the Terms.
3. Ambassador artists & live nights
Partner artists take no part in creating users' songs. They are Musicland ambassadors and host concert nights where playbackers are invited to perform in playback, live.
The framework for live nights (in-venue performance) is distinct from that of video content published online. A live performance may involve its own authorisations — public-performance rights, agreements with venues and organisers. These matters are to be handled separately from the rights on video content streamed online. ◆ Live-night terms to be set out contractually and validated by a lawyer.
